    2012 SCHEDULING: 2012 is going to bring many exciting things to kelly smith photography, llc. For my family, it is even more exciting as we will be adding another little girl to the mix! She is scheduled to make her debut at the beginning of March, so I will be on maternity leave most of February - May. I will start catching up with old clients in May, who have been so kind as to wait patiently while I get back into a routine, and I will begin taking new clients in June.

    Please email me if you would like more information regarding sessions, or if you would like to get on my June Wait List.

    WHEN TO SCHEDULE: Everyone always wants to know how far in advance they should book their portrait sessions. I always say "the sooner the better!" But, normally, I suggest at least 2 - 4 weeks. However, during the busy season (fall time and cherry blossoms) I book 2 - 3 months in advance.

    If you are pregnant, and you know you would like a newborn portrait session, please book ahead of time. My policy is that I do not photograph newborns after 2 weeks of age, so please keep this in mind when scheduling.

{connor ~ 14 months | washington, dc photographer}

You may remember this cute little guy from last fall at his 6 month session here.  He has grown so much and has a lot more hair now!  Connor was feeling under the weather the past week, so we thought about rescheduling the session, but I am so glad we did it!  Although serious for several pictures, he did flash an adorable smile and laugh several times and I was able to capture those on the camera.  We walked around the Capitol Grounds and had a great time, although we were attacked by a lot of gnats!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek “h” family ~ it was great to see you all again!

{owen ~ 6 months | alexandria, va photographer}

Owen is another one of my baby club babies – who turns 6 months this month!  He is just adorable and so tiny!  I was expected a little chunk, as I told his mom and dad, since he was a good-size newborn, but he is just a little peanut!  He also has a twinge of red hair, which is just too cute.  We met at one of my favorite locations, and a hidden gem in this area, and had a great time walking around.  I can’t wait to see him in another 6 months!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

{miss nora ~ 1 years old | bethesda, maryland photographer}

This past weekend I met up with little nora and her big sister Megan, along with her mom.  We were wrapping up a year package and it is always so much fun to look back and see how these girls have grown!  It’s always sad when a baby club baby finishes up because I don’t get to see the cuties on a regular basis!  We met up at a neat little park in the area and had a lot of fun walking around it.  You can see how much nora has grown by looking back at her newborn session and 6 months session.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek d family!

{hello blue eyes! | washington, dc photographer}

This session was a wonderful way to get back in the swing of things!  I went down to Fredericksburg, VA to meet the t family.  I have known mom, Susie, since I was in high school and was so excited when she contacted me, asking me to photograph her son, Matthew.  They moved up to the area for her residency and like us, really like it up here!  We decided to meet in the middle, and met an a beautiful Manor in Fredericksburg, Chatham Manor.  I loved it and loved having their session there.  Matthew was adorable and has the most amazing blue eyes, which I did not touch up in these pictures, just sharpened a little, they are that blue and beautiful!  He is a lovable and cuddly little guy, and just too cute!  Thank you for letting me photograph your family and Matthew’s 1 year portraits!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

{mr. “o” ~ 15 months | washington, dc photographer}

I love seeing my Baby Club families every 6 months!  Babies change so much, so quickly and you can definitely see it on this post with mr. “o”!  He turned one in February, but they were so sweet to wait until I got back from maternity leave to have his 1 year portraits taken.  I normally suggest waiting until they are standing on their own or walking for one year portraits, but he started walking at 9.5 months!  Right after his 6 month session!  I wish I could have seen that!  Mr. “o” is just the cutest little guy with the biggest brown eyes and full cheeks!  He was so sweet and adorable!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek ~ and it was wonderful seeing you all again!

Let’s look back at him as a newborn and at 6 months old!

And now to the big ONE year old!!
